A few useful answers

Does redaction remove the underlying text?

Yes. Applying redactions removes content inside the selected regions and covers those areas in black. It also removes hidden metadata and attachments and flattens existing forms and annotations.

Can I undo a downloaded redaction?

No. Keep your original document privately if you may need it later. You can adjust or remove regions before you process the file.

Is information outside my boxes removed?

Visible page content outside your boxes is retained. Review every page, including repeated names, headers, images and identifiers, before sharing the result.

When are my files deleted?

Your task shows the exact expiry time. Files are removed automatically after expiry, or you can use “Delete now” to remove them sooner.
